Satellite communication subscriber stations MNIRTI–Elvisat

The satellite communication subscriber stations MNIRTI–Elvisat are intended to ensure the exchange of information, including multimedia (video conferencing, telephony, access to the Internet), between subscribers via relay stations of earth satellite vehicles (ESV) located in the geostationary orbit.

Depending on the version, the stations are used for the operation in one of two frequency ranges:

C-band:

• transmission from 5832 to 6268 MHz;
• reception from 3507 to 3943 MHz.

Ku-band:

• transmission: 14000 to 14500 MHz;
• reception: from 10950 to 11450 MHz.

The group rate of data transmission in the stations is from 2.0 Mbps to 10.0 Mbps.

The equipment of the subscriber station includes:

• antenna post,
• high-frequency equipment,
• channel-forming equipment,
• set of cables,
• assembly kit.

The channel-forming equipment of the stations provides:

• E1 stream connection via interface G.703 of ITU-T;
• service telephone communications with a data transfer rate of 8 kbps. The subscriber termination with the FXSP interface is a two-wire one;
• connection of the digital channel on the interface С1-ФЛ-БИ according to GOST 27232-87 with a data transfer rate of 8 kbit/s. The subscriber termination with the FXSP interface is a two-wire one;
• connection of the telephone channel (for inclusion in the PSTN) with a data transfer rate of 8 kbit/s. The subscriber termination with the FXSP interface is a two-wire one;
• transmission of voice and facsimile information as recommended by ITU-T G.723.1 at a rate of 6.4 kbit/s or 4.8 kbit/s over the two-wire interface with the telephone (FXSP with a built-in call signal generator) and with the subscriber PBX (FXO) extension;
• connection of data exchange channels with RS-232 (DCE) interface with a speed of 9.6 kbit/s.
• 10/100 Base-T interface connection to access the Internet at data transfer rates up to 1.5 Mbit/s;
• 10/100 Base-T interface connection for interfacing with customer’s additional equipment.

The stations are equipped with a CDM modem or a UHP-1000 satellite router.

In addition, when installing additional channel equipment on customer's request (option), the stations provide the possibility of additional data transmission with channel terminations such as of ОЦК (basic digital channel), ТЧ (voice frequency), СК (FXO), АК (FXS), etc.

According to the operating conditions, the components placed in the open air belong to classification group 1.10 of the boreal climatic version, they meet the requirements of GOST RV20.39.304-98 and provide the operability under the influence of the following environment factors:

• high humidity (95 ± 3) % at temperature (25 ± 2) °C;
• low operating temperature (minus 40 ± 2) °C;
• high operating temperature (50 ± 2) °C.

According to the operating conditions, the components placed in stationary premises belong to classification group 1.1 of the boreal climatic version, they meet the requirements of GOST RV20.39.304-98 and provide the operability under the influence of the following environment factors:

• high humidity (80 ± 3) % at temperature (25 ± 2) °C;
• low operating temperature (5 ± 2) °C;
• high operating temperature (40 ± 2) °C.
• low temperature limit (minus 10 ± 2) °C;

The design documentation for satellite communication subscriber stations MNIRTI – Elvisat has been assigned letter ‘O₁’.
