Radio-relay communication

In recent years, the Institute has achieved the most significant results in this area: there have been prepared a number of breakthrough technical solutions aimed at the radical improvement of the technical and operational parameters of mobile radio-relay and troposphere communication means, as well as solutions in the deep unification of the main technical and technological solutions for RRS and TRS.

  • Unification of RRS and TRS.

A common structure for RRS and TRS has been developed. It contains unified components that are basic for both RRS and TRS. This applies to the construction of the antenna post, the system of its remote removal at a great distance from the hardware structure of the basic equipment, the control of the supporting rotators, the service communication system, etc.

  • New RRS generation.

There has been created a family of record-breaking small-sized radio-relay equipment of ‘dual use’. It covers almost all major frequency ranges from 400 MHz to 40 GHz and provides the possibility of organizing counter-work on the air with other RRSs adopted by the military and security forces of the Russian Federation, including series Р-419, ЛР-Д, Р-431, Р-169РРС (solutions for the counter-work with RRS series Р-414-03, Р-430, Р-416, etc.).

Modifications of RRS (code ‘Victoria’) have been prepared for a wide application in the national economy and export deliveries to the countries of Asia and Africa

  • Mobile universal complex of means of communication (CMC).

For the first time, there has been created a single-machine communication and control complex, which has no analogues in Russia and abroad. It provides the possibility of organizing simultaneous channels of radio-relay, troposphere and satellite communication, wireless wideband access, fiber-optic communication and VHF service communication.

In this case, an automated mast installed on the hardware machine provides a 25-meter lift of the antenna radio-relay complex to 4 independent communication directions, the mast deployment time being under 10 minutes.

  • Universal fiber-optic feeder.

For the first time, there has been created multi-channel equipment (up to 12 channels) for the transmission of radio-relay signals and gigabit-sized digital streams over a single fiber-optic feeder, including flying relay stations on tethered balloons, as well as for the territorial removal of the antenna station of a RRS or TRS from the hardware.

  • Mobile complex of information support (MCIS).

For the first time in the country, there has been developed a mobile multifunctional complex of information support for military and security forces in the field environment. The complex is equipped with satellite communication and wideband radio access for collecting information materials in emergency areas, their prompt processing and controlled transmitting to the editor offices of mass media and for other functions in the field environment.
